The RFB is a fully automatic bullpup rifle in Population: One. It does 19 damage a bullet and keeps full damage out to 45 m.
What the stars change on the RFB
A better RFB doesn't hit harder. Every star does 19 damage a bullet, 23 on a headshot.
What a star buys is the magazine: 25 rounds at one star, 45 at five.
Every star also takes a little recoil off, so a five-star RFB stays on target longer.
A star changes nothing else: not the reload, not the range or the falloff, not the aim down the sights.
How the RFB fires
Hold the trigger and it fires 9.5 rounds a second until the magazine is empty: 2.6 s of fire at one star, 4.7 s at five.
Reloading is done by hand: the magazine to the well, then the rack. Nothing in the game times a reload.
Playing the RFB
It fires faster than the CX4 and slower than the AKM, and reaches further than the AKM at full damage. The magazine holds 25 rounds at one star and 45 at five.
Shots to down with the RFB
A player has 100 health and up to 100 shield. On health alone the RFB downs in 6 body shots or 5 headshots. Through a full shield it takes 11 body shots in about 1.1 s or 9 headshots in about 0.8 s, if everything lands.
Where the RFB stops hitting hard
Full damage out to 45 m. Past that a bullet does 15 damage and falls to 14 over the next 35 m, then stays at 14 out to the RFB's 300 m range.
A bullet travels at 880 m/s, so a target moving sideways at distance has to be led.
RFB or FAL, M60, MK18, AKM and CX4
The FAL does 33 damage a bullet, up to 5.5 bullets a second. The M60 does 27 damage a bullet, 7.5 bullets a second. The MK18 does 25 damage a bullet, up to 10.5 bullets a second. The AKM does 20 damage a bullet, 11 bullets a second. The CX4 does 19 damage a bullet, 6.5 bullets a second.
