The P90 is a submachine gun in Population: One with the largest magazine of the SMGs: 45 rounds at one star and 65 at five. It does 20 damage a bullet.
What the stars change on the P90
A better P90 doesn't hit harder. Every star does 20 damage a bullet, 22 on a headshot.
What a star buys is the magazine: 45 rounds at one star, 65 at five.
Every star also takes a little recoil off, so a five-star P90 stays on target longer.
A star changes nothing else: not the reload, not the range or the falloff, not the aim down the sights.
How the P90 fires
Hold the trigger and it fires 15 rounds a second until the magazine is empty: 3 s of fire at one star, 4.3 s at five.
Reloading is done by hand: the magazine to the well, then the rack. Nothing in the game times a reload.
Against a built wall every hit counts 1.5 times its damage.
Playing the P90
A full five-star magazine lasts over four seconds of continuous fire. Full damage ends at 12 m, the shortest of the SMGs.
Shots to down with the P90
A player has 100 health and up to 100 shield. On health alone the P90 downs in 5 body shots or 5 headshots. Through a full shield it takes 10 body shots in about 0.6 s or 10 headshots in about 0.6 s, if everything lands.
Where the P90 stops hitting hard
Full damage out to 12 m. Past that a bullet does 14 damage and falls to 8 over the next 24 m, then stays at 8 out to the P90's 180 m range.
A bullet travels at 780 m/s, so a target moving sideways at distance has to be led.
P90 or MP5, Silenced MP9, UMP and Uzis
The MP5 does 22 damage a bullet, 13 bullets a second. The Silenced MP9 does 21 damage a bullet, 12 bullets a second. The UMP does 19 damage a bullet, 14 bullets a second. The Uzis do 14 damage a bullet, 13 bullets a second.
